Fabric Ceiling Lamps for ARK, Baroda

It was a privilege to work with Landscape India, on some textile art for this space, this set of lamps was one of them. The lamps are made with metal and natural white fine cotton Fabric. Fabric Textures include pleating, pin tucks, reverse pleating and fabric folding. A language of vertical lines formed by these techniques was followed to make this ensemble. They are installed in the Conference room.

The Ark Building is modern day Bauhaus! Inspired by Paul Klee’s ‘Uncomposed Objects in Space’ this building is something to look at. With suspended corten steel boxes and bare concrete walls with Walter D’souza’s art engraved in them, the building has a surprise to offer where ever one looks. The lamps go over some beautifully crafted wooden furniture.
