The art of repairing a broken piece of Ceramic with gold, silver it aluminum dust is called ‘Kintsugi’ which translates to ‘golden repair’. I foind it beautiful how the Japanese find value in the marks of the wearing and aging process of an object.

Another such example is the art of boro-textiles which meant wearing repaired clothes. This concept also applies the aging process of denims, which has now become a popular movement all over the world.  http://www.denhamthejeanmaker.com/#/card/29/ss10-women-spy-boro.json
